Warning!
When in “EEPROM DIAGS”, do not hit [ENTER] when “SET DEFAULT
VALUES” is displayed. This will result in the loss of all setpoints and
calibrations!

Calibration Routines

Pressure LOW

  1. Switch to calibrate and open the chamber door
  2. Hit any button
  3. Arrow up to CALIBRATE
  4. Arrow to CALIB PRESSURE ZERO
  5. Press ENTER “0.0”
  6. Press ENTER again to store settings. The printer will respond

Pressure HIGH

  1. Close door and press START to charge the door gasket
  2. Arrow to CALIB PRESSURE HIGH and press ENTER
  3. Wait for all four cycle lights to light (pressure switch sees that gasket(s) are sealed)
  4. Arrow to 30
  5. Hold Button (1) (Steam to Chamber) until the gauge reaches 32. If the pressure bleeds too fast, the chamber bleed valve should be closed and then opened ¼ to ½ turn. Normally, it should be open approximately ½ turn
  6. When it is at 30, hit ENTER and the calibration will be stored and the printer will respond
  7. Press the Door Button to automatically exhaust the pressure after calibration is complete
  8. Press the Door Button to retract the gasket

Jacket High and Low

NOTE
Must have a pressure gauge connected to the jacket plumbing

Either use room temperature for JACKET LOW if the machine is cold, or if calibrating to pressure, use the top part of the PRIMUS Logo Heart to charge the jacket until it reaches about 12 PSIG

  1. Go to CALIBRATE, arrow to JACKET LOW, set to 230°F (110°C) and hit ENTER at 7 PSIG
  2. Arrow to CALIBRATE JACKET HIGH and set to the calibration temperature
  3. Using the top part of the PRIMUS Logo Heart to charge the jacket, calibrate 270°F (132.2°C) at 28 PSIG

Chamber Low and High

  1. Purge the chamber for one minute using Button (2)
  2. Press and hold Button (1) until there is 10 PSIG on the gauge
  3. Press and hold Button (4) until there is a 5-inch vacuum on the gauge
  4. Press Button 1 until 10 PSIG
  5. Press Button 4 until there is a 10-inch vacuum
  6. Press Button 1 until 10 PSIG
  7. Press Button 4 until there is a 15-inch vacuum
  8. Press Button 1 until 10 PSIG
  9. Press Button 4 until there is a 20-inch vacuum
  10. Press Button 1 until around 30 PSIG
  11. Go to CALIBRATE CHAMBER HIGH, ENTER, set temperature to 270°F (132.2°C and while adjusting steam in, hit ENTER when the temperature matches the test thermometer or pressure (28.14 PSIG)
  12. Go to CALIBRATE CHAMBER LOW, set temperature to 230°F (110°C), adjust steam, and hit ENTER when the temperature matches the test thermometer or pressure (7.06 PSIG)
  13. PRIMUS usually calibrates at 90°C/194°F for Low and 135°C/275°F for High when using a heat well

Pressure Temperature Table

230°F, 110°C = 7.06 PSIG
250°F, 121.1°C = 16.11 PSIG
270°F, 132.2°C = 28.14 PSIG
273°F, 134°C = 30.91 PSIG
