PRIMUS requires a steam supply pressure of 50 to 80 PSIG to be available to the input of the sterilizer pressure regulator. The higher the pressure in this range, the better.

Regulated pressure should be set at approximately 10 PSI over the controlled pressure in the Sterilize phase. This applies to both the jacket and the chamber.

PRIMUS’ blanket recommendation is to adjust the regulator to provide a downstream pressure of 35 to 40 PSI at the output side of the pressure regulator,
